The Scottish Highlands are famed for many things, but sunny and fine weather probably isn’t one of them. However, it is something of a fallacy that it’s always raining and, in fact, some areas close to the east coast actually have no more rain that the south of England. Or, right now, much less rain!
Balnagown Estate, with its location very close to the east coast and almost right against the Cromarty Firth, enjoys some of the best weather in the Highlands, with typically around only a third of the rainfall the west coast of Scotland endures. So if you’re currently fed up with the dreadful weather across much of England, then why not book yourself a dream break at one of our luxury cottages or lodges at Balnagown Estate. Of course we can’t promise great weather, but if you look at the map above and where Balnagown is located, you’ll see there a very good chance of it.
Balnagown Estate has a huge amount to offer, with fishing, archery, cycling and a superbly equipped games and sports hall all available on the estate, plus some of the finest golf courses very close by such as Royal Dornoch and Brora. Then there’s bird watching, walking and the nearby towns of Tain and Dornoch for eating out and shopping. We promise you won’t be disappointed!
